Captain Brad and myself (Captain Blake) enjoy fishing as much if not more than anyone else as even on days off from guiding we still manage to get out on the water to do some fun fishing. We picked up the flipping sticks after a great morning catching fish on spinnerbaits, swim jigs, and swim baits. Although we didn’t catch big numbers flipping we did manage two great Lake Okeechobee fish. Captain Brad boated a summer giant that was almost 9 lb while I managed a solid 6 lb fish.

The morning yielded 30 + fish on a variety of moving baits, while the flipping bites were better on average we only added another 12 fish flipping. All in all we caught 45 fish with the average fish being 2 lb with several 3-4 lb fish mixed in and big fish of the day went almost 9 lb. All this before lunch, not a bad morning out on the water.

The morning bite is fast and furious and while the bite slows around lunch this is still a great time to get out on the water to catch some great Lake Okeechobee bass. Give us a call or send us a email and let us setup that trip of a lifetime.
