I had the pleasure of fishing with the Puryear family on Saturday and then Sunday fished with Rick and Will. The trips were very similar with one trip catching 65 fish and the other catching 57.

The Puryear family caught 65 fish up to 6lbs and the average fish weighed 3 lbs. This was the 6 time fishing Lake Okeechobee and every time they have went with a different guide, however, next year they will be coming back to fish with me again.

Rick and Will boated 57 fish which was great for 20+ mph winds. The big fish of the day went just shy of 8 lbs both guys boated several fish in the 4-6 lb range fish. We also managed to catch a Sunshine bass as well as a big Lake Okeechobee crappie.

The fishing is really good on Lake Okeechobee right now and I look forward to a few more really good months.
