Ronald Woan from Seattle had a day to spare between his traveling plans so he called me up and we setup a fishing trip for his free day. Although the temperature had just dropped about 30 degrees in two days Ronald wanted to get out on the lake and catch some fish in one of natures finest atmospheres. We were fortunate that the fish didn’t care that the air was cold because the water was still warm resulting in a fun filled day of catching and sight seeing.

Ronald ended up catching just over 30 fish in six hours with lot’s of fish in the 2-3 lb range and even managed to catch four doubles by himself. After fishing we went up inside the thicker vegetation so Ronald could get some photos of the great wildlife we have here on Lake Okeechobee. We ended the day seeing numerous alligators on the rocky bank sunning themselves and Ronald got some really good pictures of them as well.

I was all ears as Ronald shared stories of his travels around the world, which include just about everywhere you could imagine going. We shared stories and memories of places visited in the past and mixed in several nice fish throughout the morning. Another great trip on Lake Okeechobee, looking forward to having Ronald pass by in the future for another amazing day on Lake Okeechobee.

Check out some of Ronald great pictures!
