Only G Loomis rods are allowed to be used during tournament.

Captains meeting will take place on September 13, 2013 at Pogey’s restaurant located at 1759 South Parrott Ave. Free dinner and drinks will be served beginning at 6:00 pm, followed by a brief rules discussion with a special one-time price on all G-Loomis and Shimano products.

Rules for G Loomis Owners Tournament

1. 1.       Take-off at safe light from Scott Driver Park; boat check will be at Scott Driver ramp before boats are unloaded into the water. Check-in will be held at Scott Driver Park at 2:00 pm, followed by weigh-in at Fast Break Bait and Tackle.
2. 2.       Limit of 5 fish per boat.
3. 3.       Fish must be a minimum of 12” in length, short fish will result in disqualification.
4. 4.       No culling of fish at ramp, no culling of dead fish at all. If a fish dies in your livewell it must be part of your 5 fish limit.
5. 5.       8 oz penalty per dead fish, please do everything you can to assure live and healthy fish.
6. 6.       Properly aerated livewells are required.
7. 7.       U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets are mandatory while the combustion engine is in operation from boat check to weigh-in.
8. 8.       Vessels kill switch must be attached to boat driver any time combustion engine is in operation.
9. 9.       Safe boating and fishing practices must be observed at all times. No fishing within 50 yards of another competitor anchored with trolling motor in upright position.
10. 10.   Consumption and/or possession of alcoholic beverages prior to angler weighing in is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
11. 11.   Contestants who are not at the check-in area at the designated check-in time will be penalized 1 pound per minute, deducted from the total weight. Any contestant more than 15 minutes late will be disqualified. Weight deduction will count against big fish weight.
12. 12.   No cell phones or radios may be used during tournament for the purpose of exchanging or receiving fishing information.
13. 13.   Artificial lures only may be used with the exception of pork trailers and biodegradable soft baits.
14. 14.   In the event of a tie, the team with the biggest bass will be the winning team, in the event teams are still tied, winning team will be determined by registration order.
15. 15.   Exemption cards will be handed out at registration meeting.
16. 16.   All fish will be released in Lake Okeechobee.
17. 17.   Any participant under 18 years of age must have signature of parent or legal guardian on the tournament registration form.
18. 18.   Polygraph test may be administered at tournament officials discretion.
19. 19.   All tournament officials decisions are final.
20. 20.   Only G Loomis rods are allowed to be used in this tournament. Any team that uses any rod other than a G Loomis rod will be disqualified. During boat check tournament officials will be double checking that all teams have G Loomis rods and only G Loomis rods.
21. 21.   Teams may consist of one or two anglers.
22. 22.   Entry Fee: Free to teams who register on or before September 13, 2013. Any team registering the morning of the tournament will be subject to a $25 late registration fee.
23. 23.   Protest must be made in writing prior to 15 minutes after the final boat check in to the tournament director. All decisions by tournament director are final.
24. 24.   Registration form must be signed and dated by both teams’ members (when applicable). Boat numbers will be assigned based on when forms are submitted.

By signing this registration form, I/we understand and promise to abide by all tournament rules set forth. I/we hereby waive and release the host, business and premise owners, sponsors, agents, tournament officials, and all other participants from any and all claims now and forever. I/we knowingly and freely assume all risks, both known and unknown, fish at our own risk and assume full responsibility for risks arising from my/our participation in this event. Participants agree to maintain liability insurance on the boat they will be using in the tournament.
