As the first cold fronts of the year roll through Lake Okeechobee the water is starting to cool off and the big fish are really becoming active.

Recent trips have had great success with both artificial and live bait, however, the bigger fish have been falling prey to live bait more often. Catch rates have increased some but the quality has increased to bring the average fish into the 3 pound range.
